Emily Cooper's first grade class at Foley Elementary School is missing someone special.

"He's such a delightful boy," says Cooper. "He's just the greatest kid in the world."

Cooper is talking about seven-year old Jerry Drummond. Drummond, his father and three other people were hurt in a boating accident last week when their boat slammed into the old Gulf State Park fishing pier. Jerry is in a coma at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.

"He's a model student," says Cooper. "He's bright, he's warm, he's helpful, he's what every parent wants in a child and what every teacher wants in a student."

Foley Elementary School is asking for people to help the Drummonds.

"Jerry's family doesn't have medical insurance," says principal Dr. Bill Lawrence. "And with Jerry's father recovering from his own injuries and the mother staying at home watching the other children, it's tough."

If you'd like to help Jerry and his family call Foley Elementary School.
