MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Former president Jimmy Carter and his wife
Rosalynn next week will help Habitat For Humanity volunteers at
construction sites in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
The Carters -- longtime Habitat volunteers -- are leading a
project that's building homes on the hurricane-devastated Gulf
Coast.
The project includes more than 250 houses, most of them being
built through the end of the year in the three states, plus Texas,
in the continuing recovery from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in
2005.
The Carters will bring attention to the project during a
ceremony May 11 in Biloxi, Miss. In the following days, they will
work on homes on the Gulf Coast.
Mississippi Gulf Coast Habitat CEO Chris Monforton said some
2,100 volunteers are expected to build with the Carter project in
Mississippi.

YEP! I know what you mean, but he’s entitled to his views and opinions even though for the most part they are the opposite of mine. I really think he’s objecting to a lot of the policies a lot of our leaders are following, not the country as a people. I’m sure he loves this country as much as anyone ,which serving in the military was one way of showing it by helping to defend it. He’s not at all bashful about stating his views but I think his timing is way off on a lot of the subjects and need to be toned down a bit. But that’s just my opinion and I’m sure there is plenty of others. Have a nice day MYCOMMENT i gotta go and punish myself by jogging for having a extra bowl of oatmeal while commenting.

Now if he would just keep his mouth shut when he does and interview. For being a former president, he sure does not like this country.

I don’t think I will ever see eye to eye with some of the former president’s decisions, such as the panama canal and others,But you got to give the man a lot of respect for being willing to go out and sweat and work with the working people for a worthy cause and not just give lip service. He practices what he preaches. you just don’t see enough of that.
