WASHINGTON (AP) - The Federal Emergency Management Agency is
getting a good review for being better prepared to respond to a
disaster. But its own watchdog agency says FEMA is not completely
ready for another Hurricane Katrina-scale catastrophe.
A report says FEMA has made moderate improvements in its ability
to deploy critical supplies, such as water, to disaster-stricken
communities since its poor showing in Mississippi and Louisiana in
2005.
However, it also says the agency has more work ahead, including
development of plans to house disaster victims and improving
training for its employees.
The report is to be released at a Senate Homeland Security
hearing tomorrow.

I loved Nan Seas in the old location.  Anytime I would have company visiting from out of town I would take them there to eat.  We would meander down those side streets and everyone would be wondering where the heck we were going.  Then there it would be with cars covering the place and there would usually be a wait before getting the table.

The seafood was always extremely fresh and they really had a way with a shrimp!

BamaBob Nan Seas is great at the new location.  The owner is such a nice guy. The food is just as good as before.  I know that right now they are only open for dinner.  Everytime I have passed by it at night it is packed.

Ya know how one thought tend to lead to another that seems to be totally off topic?  Well, this subject reminded me that I had occasion to be out at Providence Hospital recently and I noticed that Nan Seas is now in the old Lakeside Lodge Restaurant on Cody Road.  Has anyone checked that out and is the food as good as it was when it was on the bay?
