Fairhope police say the body of 42-year-old Gerry Lee Schwartz was found Sunday behind Creative Iron Works on Highway 98 in the Barnwell Community.
Schwartz is originally from Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He moved to Fairhope from Florida about a year ago. Schwartz was found with stabbed several times inside a boat behind Creative Iron Works. Investigators say he was an employee there, and that his employer allowed him to live on the property in the boat.
No arrests have been made in the murder investigation. If anyone has information that may help police, they are asked to call the Fairhope Police Department Investigations Unit at (251) 928-2385.
