the Rutgers University women's basketball team a "life-changing
experience."
Imus returned to the airwaves this morning on WABC-AM in New
York, eight months after being fired by CBS Radio for referring to
the players as "nappy-headed hos."
Imus apologized again today, saying the team did not deserve to
be made fun of, and describing his comment as "reprehensible."
He said he has learned his lesson, adding he'll never say
anything that will make the Rutgers players feel "foolish" for
accepting his apology and forgiving him.
But Imus also said his program "is not going to change."
The new cast includes two black comedians.
The possibility of Imus' return outraged critics including the
National Association of Black Journalists and the National
Organization for Women.
