Soaring gas prices are on everyone's mind, but can anyone actually do anything
about it?

One Kentucky man says you can, and he's riding his horse around his town to
prove it.

Forrest Sanders reports.

Hi Ho Silver........ away!!!!!!!!!!!

You mean you didn’t see my Mustang go by doing about 75? lol

Where are you BamaBob?????  I am letting my horse graze and cool down some before you get here. I do see a bicycle approaching with saddlebags but you said you would be on a horse, guess that must be Carl approaching from the North.

Talking about the tip of the ice berg! We’ve already received more than the tip! Here’s a good example, We are doing our community watch on bicycles. Old folk like me don’t need to be out there trying to out run pit bulls and such while the younger local people are laying bets on which bicyclist will reach the corner stop sign first and those pits can be real encouraging to work those leg muscles to peddle faster. I gotta go and throw my saddle bags and bag of possibles across my old bike and join BamaBob out on I-10.I don,t have turn signal on the bike, can I use the old hand method? And what do people on a horse do? Does the horse wiggle the ear in the direction he’s turning? BYE

well get all the cheap transportation you want it will be a good idea so you can have money to pay those sky high utility bills the cost of fuel will effect a lot more than gasoline
gasoline will be just the tip of the iceberg higher food higher everything and taxes to just break even with welfare programs and i dont even want to think about the elderly on a fixed income trying to stay cool or warm we all better be walking because even a bicycle will go out of sight with a big demand

I LOVE IT, when we moved to this area lots of people went to the store, etc, on a horse or horse and wagon and some had surries. It was wonderfull, had time to enjoy live and meet your neighbors and we had a lot less stress.

Parked my new SUV and started driving my used sub-compact. Best money I ever spent. 36 to 40 mpg vs. 14 to18 mpg. And it has A/C and all the bells and whistles.

So now I figure I am back at about $1.70 a gallon.
I drive the same miles, just easier on the wallet. I can live with that.

Wasnt as proud to be seen in it when I bought it as I am now.

I’m all for this idea.  Who wants to saddle up and join me about 7:15 tomorrow morning on I-10?  If I am late, go ahead without me.

I’m staying home way more than any person should have to. I have stocked up on supplies, so hopefully I won’t have to make more than one trip to the grocery a month. I’ve also started a veggie garden to offset grocery costs. Too bad I don’t have room for livestock. Alas!

Get off that hay burner and get a bicycle! The trouble is that most towns aren’t horse or bicycle friendly, but there is a lot less cleaning up after a bicycle!!
