An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Deputy has been fired after being arrested while driving a patrol car drunk. OCSO spokesperson Michelle Nicholson says Deputy Ronald Cook was off-duty, but driving a marked car on October 6th when arrested and charged with DUI. Cook told the arresting officer he had three rum and cokes. Another OCSO Deputy observed Cook speeding and crossing the center line. Cook was charged with DUI and speeding and booked into the Okaloosa County Jail. He had been with the sheriff’s office about six months.
