Deadly Accident

25 year old Minerva Vasquez-Juarez and 23 year old Rigoberto Casteneda Vasquez were traveling east on US 98 near Wayne Allen Lane when their 2000 Kia Sportage left the roadway, overturned and struck a tree.  Both were pronounced dead at the scene of the 4:40 a.m. crash.  Neither was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and alcohol involvement will be determined by autopsy.  Speed appears to have been a factor.  The crash remains under investigation.
