More proof that no matter what your age, the bridge tragedy has affected us all.
A tribute to the family was held Friday at a Daphne daycare where children prayed and sang songs in remembrance of the four children. Four of the students dressed as angels to honor Ryan, Danny, Hannah and Lindsey.
A tribute to a family torn apart that started with an idea from a parent according to daycare owner Patricia Scott. "The children were talking about it, just coming in when we have group time in the mornings and one of our parents came in why not lets not have a candle vigil with the children."
Through a child's eyes, the bridge tragedy is pretty simple. "The mean daddy threw them from the bridge and then they fell down into the water and they were safe in Jesus arms," says four year old Nya Snowden.
Explaining the unexplainable is left to adults like Patricia Reed. "The question why, but why momma, but why momma? It's just a never ending question."
For almost two weeks we have all seen the images and heard the stories. So have our children and it has left quite an impression.
"When they found two children then they came in and they told us they found another one and there's one more," says Scott.
Reed says parents are in a difficult situation, "I try not to focus on how it happened but that something bad did happen so the children know to keep the children in their prayers."
Lam Loung is also in their prayers. Scott says she is teaching the children not to judge, "I wanted the children to understand that Daddy's do love children but sometimes our minds are sick, so instead of them saying mean Daddy I got them to say sick Daddy."
No matter the age, it's a tragedy that has affected us all.
