A man who used to operate a daycare along with his wife, has been charged with sexually abusing children left in his care.
Gary Burke was arrested last night. He's accused of sexually abusing three girls, all under the age of six, while they attended the daycare, located inside the Burke's home.
The daycare was on Smith Avenue off Dauphin Island Parkway. Gary and his wife Rosiland, voluntarily closed the daycare back in april when the allegations of abuse first surfaced. Burke is in Metro Jail, charged with three counts of first degree sexual abuse.

Seebiscuit, Thanks realizing this man HAS NOT been found guilty yet. Again “if” he is found guilty lets all hope and pray that true justice is served. We have courts with judges and juries to decide of guilt or innocence. Yet so many are quick to convict without all the evidence. I surely have no right to judge anyone, but if a guilty verdict is reached I would cherish the oppurtunity to do the sentencing and it certainly would NOT be a slap on the wrist. I would push to exceed the guidlines.

My daugter attended that daycare as a child and so did many other little girls.They are now 15 to 17 yrs. old.My daugter is so hurt by this.She said there is NO WAY that he would EVER do anything to a child.Why has no one talked to these older pre-teens that have been in that daycare there entire young little lives?Because then they would know the truth.And if a he is a “child molester” don’t you think that they would have had something happen to one of them!!You don’t just all of a sudden get those kinds of “thoughts”.Another thing, he didn’t get arrested for that.It was for driving without a license.I feel really sad for him & his wife.They are GREAT people and they would give you the shirt off there backs.Don’t be so quick to judge him.TALK TO THE OLDER GIRLS THAT HAVE GONE THERE FOR YRS. HE NEVER TOUCHED THEM!!!Even before all of this came out my daugter still wanted & still wants to go over there to see them and we have not lived in Mobile County in 5 yrs.She loves them.

I agree with 1mommab. These monsters need to have a bright light on them at all times. They get a few years, but the poor children are the ones that really suffer and not for just a few years.

YOU TRUST PEOPLE WITH YOUR CHILDREN AND YOU ARE SO SURE THAT THEY ARE SAFE. AND SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN. THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT EVER BE LET BACK ON THE STREETS. BUT THEY ARE AND THESE CHILDREN ARE SCARED FOR LIFE ITS SOMETHING THAT THEY NEVER GET OVER. SEX-OFFENDERS SHOULD HAVE TO WARE SEX-OFFENDER WROTE ON THE BACK OF THEIR CLOTHES.

There are lots of sex offenders that have moved and there addresses have not been up dated on the internet! We should have the right to know where the sex offenders are living . The police department should keep the infomation up dated.

Yea yea whatever. Let him go just like they always do and when he kills a little child then they will lock him away. If someone has been accused that many times , the facts are already there!!!!

If he’s convicted I hope he gets the maximum penalty. The fact is he hasn’t had a single court apperance yet and nane wants to fry him. We have courts for a reason. Probably safe to assume he won’t get a spanking from judge Thomas. Again, if a jury of his peers find him guilty, then give him the max and then some.
I adore everyones opinion and I have daughters also. I fear for my girls and everyone elses because of the overwhelming number of new cases that appear daily. Does that give me the right to judge people over allegations? I think not.
The door of compassion swings in both directions until such time all facts are in.

This makes me sick to my stomach!!! I have 2 daughters under the age of 6 and could not image this happening to them. I pray that God will see to it that justice is served!!!! and I pray for the families and the little girls!!!! I hope he is never released from prison!!!! People like him needs to be locked up with the dogs, they don’t even deserve to be locked up with humans!!! I say “Put him in the chair and fry him”!!!

When was this guy convicted? Didn’t realize missknowitall was on the jury for this trial. I do pray for those children and their families!!
