According to Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson, Holmes wasn't even supposed to be on the Davidson campus on Thursday.
Something happened at school on Wednesday that led to the teen being suspended. The school system won't give us that answer.
Tyson tells us what he knows. "He got in some sort of dispute yesterday and was actually suspended from school yesterday. That suspension was independent of the robbery charges not sure what those things are but he was not supposed to be on campus."
Holmes was also set to go to court next month. He was facing multiple robbery charges. The robberies happened in February at the Dairy Queen on Moffet Road, the Arby's on Government Boulevard and the Circle K on Downtowner Boulevard.
Tyson is still trying to figure out how Holmes got the gun to school and who might have driven him there. So far, they have found no indication that he left a note or had an organized plan on campus.
