A brutal attack on a Foley convenience store clerk was caught on surveilance video early Thursday morning. Two men entered the Chevron on Highway 59 near County Road 12 and pulled a gun on the cashier. The video shows one of the suspect's holding the pistol to the frightened woman's head while his accomplice acted as a look-out.
"I can't imagine what was going through that woman's head," says Foley Detective Matt Cuellar. "It was a very violent crime. You can actually see the suspect holding the gun to her head and his finger was on the trigger. The suspect then pistol-whipped the clerk."
The men were only in the store for two minutes and couldn't open the cash register. The store clerk was rushed to South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. Investigators say the woman will be okay.
Call the Foley Police Department if you can help detectives solve the armed robbery.
