The Black Friday shopping wars begin Friday. Stores nationwide will be opening their doors as early as 4:00 in the morning. Here along the Gulf Coast would-be-shoppers are already taking steps to save their place in line by camping outside of stores like Best Buy. The folks we spoke to say it is worth a night in the cold because of the bargains. "The laptops are like half price and the microwaves are like half price too," Said Christopher Wadibia, Shopper. "They got some really good deals, we're going to get some laptops and some more different kind of computers," Said Hannah Friday, Shopper.
Meantime, Best Buy's competitor Circuit City did not attract a crowd. Only barricades and signs advertising bargains stood post at the Mobile location.
The folks spending the night say there is an incentive to the sacrifice of camping outside, Best Buy says it will give out tickets at three o'clock Friday morning to people waiting in line for the rights to buy its "doorbuster" specials.
The specials include laptops for just under two-hundred dollars and other items at half price.
Best Buy opens at 5 o'clock Friday morning.
