Mobile police catch a man they say was responsible for at least 15 burglaries, mostly in the Oakleigh area and surrounding neighborhoods.
Police arrested 40 year old William Drinkard around 2 a.m. Saturday after spotting him walking near Texas Street. According to thir investigation, Drinkard broke into at least 15 cars and homes in the Oakleigh area (south of Government Street and east of Michigan Street) and near the intersection of Dauphin and Florida streets.
Drinkard has been linked to six burglaries, two break-ins of vehicles, and five thefts. He is also wanted by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office on theft charges and by the Alabama Department of Corrections on a parole violation.
