Mobile Fire Investigators say a 4 year old boy was mauled by a pit bull. The attack happened before 8 a.m. at a home on Lincoln Boulevard off Cody Road. Mobile Police say the child's name is Bryant Gross. Police investigators say the child's injuries are serious but not life-threatening. Officers say the attack happened when the 4 year old boy and his brother were in a bedroom and began fighting. Police say the pit bull has been a family pet for about a year. Mobile Fire Department spokesman Steve Huffman says the dog attacked the child's head, lacerating his face, neck, the back of his head and his lower jaw. No charges are expected to be filed at this time.
