BARTOW, Fla. (AP) - Eight teens accused of taking part in the
notorious videotaped beating of another central Florida teen are
being held on bond.
A judge set bail Friday for each at $30,000 during their first
appearance.
The state attorney's office says seven of the teens will be
tried as adults. The youngest of them is 14. The eighth person is
18-years-old and considered an adult by state law.
They face kidnapping and misdemeanor battery charges. Three also
face a felony charge of witness tampering.
A judge has issued a gag order requiring everyone involved in
the case to keep their mouths shut.
The video has been viewed widely on national TV and the
Internet.

One of them has a public defender, so that $3,000 bucks is going to hurt.

I have a feeling that these kids aren’t smart enough to know where the straight and narrow path is.

Does sound like it might turn into a slap on the wrist before it is all said and done.  Those kids better walk a straight and narrow path while out on bond.

It looks like with the bail at only $30,000 the one girl might make her cheerleading engagement. The others wil be able to go to the beach for springbreak too.
