mall on Christmas Eve has been identified as that of a Tuscaloosa
woman.
Captain Loyd Baker, commander of the Tuscaloosa County Metro
Homicide Unit, said it appears 44-year-old Connie Ruth Johnson died
a "violent death."
Johnson was last seen by friends after 3 a.m. Sunday and a
delivery person found her body Monday morning.
Baker said it was too early in the investigation to determine
cause of death or the motives.
He said Johnson did not live near the shopping center but did
frequent the area. Baker also said there is a timeline of about 28
hours that she is unaccounted for.
