The First Community Bank on Cottage Hill Road was robbed Monday around 4:20 p.m. Officers say the man walked in with a gun and his cellphone. He pointed the gun and demanded money from the teller. An image from the bank's security camera shows the man talking on his phone. Police say the robber may have driven away in silver Nissan Sentra or Altima with a Mississippi license plate.
Here is the description of the bank robber:
a black male, 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-5, 140 pounds with dark skin and a low haircut. He was wearing black and red Nike Air Max Sneakers, black jeans, a long white T-shirt, and a black ball cap with velvet in the front and mesh in the back.
If you can help solve this crime, call the Mobile Police Department at 208-7211.

yep! having a little flashback of CSI,buT IT’S NOT TOO FAR OFF THE MARK.They can see where what calls were going at the time and most probably where the phone was bought. They have been toying with the idea of putting automatic identification on the phones as is with computers now,if they haven’t already. One of the first things my pc does when i crank it up in the morning, is to send out my ip address and other info to the Internet service providers, only way to get around that is to not to log on to the internet! Before the internet,we could make connections with other computers via the phone lines,PC to PC,no internet. Before long,if not already, they will know where the phone was bought,at what time and probably a picture of who from the store cameras.BE CAREFUL!BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING!
