Lashundra Cunningham was arrested May 2nd when, authorities say, she tried to cash a counterfeit payroll check at an area pawn shop.
6 days later, Desiree Norwood was arrested at her home on Gaylark Road in Mobile.
Investigators say both women are responsible for cashing hundreds of counterfeit checks and cost at least 2 businesses $45,000.
Cunningham is charged with four counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, second degree.
Norwood is charged with seven counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, second degree.
According to the sheriff's office, their investigation uncovered more than 20 possible suspects and that more arrests could be made.
