Another teenager, Ladarrius Williams is charged with murder in the death of John Liles. "He didn't drink, he didn't party. He was a family man at 20 years old."
Wendy Huggins buried her son yesterday. "He loved everybody he would give his shirt off to anybody," she says choking back tears. The arrest of another suspect brings little comfort to a mother still trying to figure out, why? "My son lost his life over trying to find his childhood puppy."
Sheriff's investigators say the three suspects came up with the plan after seeing something most of us see almost everyday. A poster looking for a missing pet.
"The victim truly lost his dog," says Sheriff's spokesman Glenn Austin, "but when the people called up and said we have your dog he didn't have the reward money so he offered them something else, he offered them marijuana."
Austin says that wasn't all, "The folks that were going to meet him there did not have the dog and that's when they decided to rob him and then shot him dragged him out and left him to die."
Investigators won't say if they recovered any cash or drugs. "He had nothing on him he had no money he didn't have supposedly marijuana he didn't have a dollar. All he had was a ring and his cell phone and that's what they took," says Huggins.
According to investigators they also took her son's life. Something she'll have to learn to live without.
"It's not easy," she says, "But for my son this is what he wants I'm moving on."
Williams was driven back to Pensacola from Tennessee by his Mother after she learned her son was a person of interest in last weeks murder.
