The popular bank recently sold 38 Alabama branches to Canadian bank RBC Centura Bank. Bank accounts had to be switched over including ATM cards, debit cards and other specialty accounts.
"I'm hoping the transition will be smooth," says long-time AmSouth customer Missy Bacquet. "So far, they've been very helpful. I'm going to go back to the bank Monday and get everything in order."
The bank buyout was part of another deal AmSouth recently made with rival Regions Bank. As part of that deal, AmSouth was required to sell 38 Alabama branches and other branches in Mississippi and Tennessee. RBC Centura Bank bought those properties.
AmSouth bank branch managers say the conversion process should be complete by Monday. A Spanish Ft. branch manager tells News 5 the transition should be a smooth one for AmSouth customers.
If you have any questions about the conversion, call or stop by your local bank branch.
