A decision in the tanker contest is expected this week but we are two days in and still no winner!

The Pentagon is putting the finishing touches on the massive military contract and should make an announcement this week.

The contest has industry favorite Boeing going up against Northrop Grumman and their partner EADS.

Boeing's competitor is the KC-767. Northrop and EADS have entered the KC-30 as its tanker.

If the KC-30 team wins, more than a thousand high tech jobs and a 40 billion dollar aerospace contract would land in Mobile.

Mobile Mayor Sam Jones weighs in on the waiting game."If it comes out that Mobile's selected and I think it should, it's a great day for our community. It's tremendous for our community. If it comes out the other way then certainly we're disappointed but we're not discouraged because I think that we will manufacture aircraft in Mobile. The question is what aircraft will be manufacture."

Both sides have said they will file a protest if they lose. That process could drag on for as long as a year.
