A man was taken to an area hospital by a Lifeflight helicopter this morning. He was injured after his right hand was trapped in a conveyor belt at the rear of a delivery truck. Lifeflight took him to a local hospital. It happened around 7:45am at the Shred-It company on Iron Works Road in Theodore. It took several tries before the man's hand could be removed from the conveyor belt. Public Information Officer Steve Huffman tells WKRG News 5, the injured man and other employees were moving bunches of shredded paper into a warehouse when the accident happened. The injured man's name has not been released at this time.
