Six teen girls and two teen boys in Florida will face felony charges for their roles in the video taped beating of 16-year-old Victoria Lindsay. The graphic video of the attack was planned to be posted on the popular video-sharing website Youtube, according to authorities. The Polk County Sheriff's office say Lindsay was lured to a friend's house and then blocked by the girls from leaving. Two teens stood guard outside, even knocking on the front door to tell the girls inside they were being too loud and that neighbors were wondering what was going on. The video shows the teens spewing obscenities at Lindsay while she begs to leave. You can hear one girl, not in front of the camera, saying, "Oh yeah baby, oh yeah!" while the girls continue to throw punches at Lindsay's head and face. After the beating, authorities say that the girls put Lindsay in a car and drove her to another location where they dropped her off and told her that they would beat her even more if she tried to call police. Investigators say the attack was sparked by comments left on the teens' Myspace pages. All eight of the teens involved now face felony battery and false imprisonment charges. Seven teens remain in juvenile detention. One boy that was charged as an adult is free on bond. Meanwhile, Victoria Lindsay's mother, says she will be home schooled because returning to class would be "too much of a humiliation." Thats just emberassing, I’m so glad I am not the parent of such a ludacris child, This just proves how dense some parents out there are. They need to be a closer part of there childs life!. When will this end?, When someone is killed?, When they finally get it will they be on trial for life?. I mean come on now what kind of people may we be living next door to and not even know it?. I think the people out there need to stop be procrastinators and start being real!

The little brats didn’t like the video cam when it was in their face during the hearing, but sure liked it when they were cowardly beating and taunting one defenseless girl.  The message needs to be loud and clear, just because you are under 18, does not mean you can get away with anything, heck, a 5 year old knows better than that.

And to the parents of these brats, SHAME ON YOU!!!  You are a very big part of the problem of why your kids are in this mess, very obvious, you did not teach your kids about accountability!  Well, they will learn the hard way, Shame on you for failing them and shame on these brats who knew right from wrong.

First off i had something like this happen to me when i was a kid and i still to this day will never forgive the punks or forget what happend to me!!! when you cant fight one on one or need guns or other weapons to fight your a First class Punk.
not that people should be fighting in the first place but its not like thats ever going to stop. Bottom line is we need Stronger and tougher laws and longer stays of imprisonment and punishment to fit the crime will work. Where are we all going to be 10 years from now are we all going to be hidding inside the house never being able to leave without having armed guards or permission to go somewhere. everything is so corrupt and this kind of thing is punkish and uncalled for. i hope they burn for there sins!!!

Have to agree Bama. Maybe if youtube was the motive to begin with, then the girls have made out even better than they originally thought. Next there will be a book written about the ordeal and after that maybe somebody will make a “B” movie about it like the movie Bully.

Yeah, Fox News was there and recognized Dr. Phil’s people bailing the girl out, so that kind of messed up the plan.

There is something very “Jerry Springer” about this whole story.

I don’t think any of them get it yet and their parents don’t either.

What really got me last night was hearing that Dr. Phil bailed one of the girls out so he could get an exclusive interview.  I think that guy is pretty shady.

You’ve probably have heard me say it before,"mob mentality” or in this case gang mentality, when people do things they wouldn’t normally do if by themselves. Kids of that age group make a lot of bad decisions. That’s why they need parental supervision. They will probably spend a little time in the local pokey or county jail, enough to scare them into thinking different,I hope. Then it would be about right for about two or three hours of community service after school each day for about a year,in my opinion. Strange things happen with kids, after it’s all over ,they probably will end up best friends.Should they be punished? Most certainly, but most important is that they should be shown the correct way to handle disagreements so future events can be avoided.

After taking a beating she was still able to get online and visit one of the webpages (her myspace page) her father clled the anti Christ of teenagers and write taunting remarks about the ones who beat her. Guess she still hasn’t learned and once again, where were her parents that hate these websites?
