If you think gas prices are high in your neighborhood, you should check out a station on Gorda, California. Angry drivers are calling what they're charging for gas "highway robbery."
There is no big sign giving the price per gallon and for good reason.
"No one would stop," said station attendant James Willman.
Because gas here costs, are you ready, $5.19 a gallon for regular. Super is $5.40.
Bill Burbes said "I wish I'd seen it before I stopped here."
In all likelihood, this is the most expensive gas station in America. Anyone who pulls up and says fill it up is in for a shock.
When asked why the price is sky high, Willman said "We're out in the middle of nowhere. Plus, we can get away with it."

Iwas watching msn news tonight and they were talking about oil prices and about gas prices. they said that if President Bush would just say that he would open the strategic oil reserves that the gas prices would drop 10 to15 dollars immediatley I think every american needs to call their senators and congressman and demand our President to open the oil reserves and wkrg ought to run this comment and give out the telephone numbers of congress senators.

I’m considering a nice road approved moped.  You must consider something as an alternative to paying these high gas prices.  I’d rather spend my money somewhere else.  It helps to make all necessary stops on the same trip and route.  Stop going out for small things.  Eat at home, it’s healthier, cheaper and keeps you from getting fat.
