- Cleanup crews expect to reopen the Exit 44 ramp around 4:45 p.m.
- The two accident victims have been released from the hospital.
3:10 p.m.
- Exit 44 ramp from westbound I-10 to Hwy 59 remains closed.
11:50 a.m.
- The driver of the 18-wheeler told Loxley police that he lost his brakes. Unable to stop, he kept honking his horn trying to warn drivers to get out of the way.
- 18-wheeler eventually hit an SUV.
- Southbound lanes of Hwy 59. have reopened.
- Exitt 44 ramp from westbound I-10 to Hwy 59 remains closed.
11:36 a.m.
Police are trying to clear a bad wreck on Hwy. 59 at I-10 in Loxley. An 18-wheeler hit an SUV and overturned.
As of 11:30, the southbound lanes of Hwy. 59 are shutdown. The Exit 44 Ramp (Loxley exit) from westbound I-10 is also closed.
At least two people are injured. A Life Flight helicopter has landed on Hwy 59.
Traffic is backed up for several miles.
