ST. LOUIS (AP) - It's an international mystery: How did a Missouri family's Christmas card photo end up in the Czech
Republic, splashed across a huge storefront advertisement?

Danielle Smith says the photo got sent to family and friends, and was posted on her blog and a few social networking sites. The
photo showed her and her husband Jeff holding their two young children.

Recently, one of Smith's college friends was driving through Prague when he spotted their huge smiling faces in the window of a
store specializing in European food. He snapped a few pictures and sent them to a flabbergasted Smith.

The owner of the store says the photo came from the Internet. He says he thought it was computer-generated. When told it was a real
photo - of a real family - he said he started taking steps to remove it. And he plans an apology.

Smith says next time she posts a photo on the Internet, she's going to lower the resolution or add an electronic watermark to
make it hard to reproduce.

This is off topic, but, is anyone else having trouble viewing the second comments page? When I click page 2, it simply refreshes the screen to page 1. I am having this trouble on all of the posted comments pages. I can only view the first page of any posts.

i left my photo album on the floor and my dog water marked it good. i don’t use them now and don’t think anyone will. Still use the dog, it has a shoe mark.

I know this problem all to well. watermarking seems to be the only way. After I started watermarking my photos the volume of e-mails requesting to use my photos quadrupled.

Yeah you have to be careful what you put on the internet. Thank God in this case it was just a family photo that got used as advertisement for the store. It could have been a lot worse. That is why my mother was always checking my profiles when I was younger, making sure that there was nothing on their that was not modest. There are a lot of sick people out there that are just waiting for a unsuspecting person to post a picture on there that they can use for “other” reasons. Some people go as far as to alter the picture, making it way worse than it really is.

Photoshop is the best way to watermark, but you can also use MS Paint.

“Another words will they get compensation for using there photos? or could this be criminal being the pictures we’re used without there knowledge?”

Should say “In other words, will they get compensation for their photos being used? Or could this be criminal, being that the pictures were used without their knowledge?”
