Woodward: Bush 'too often failed to lead' on Iraq Woodward Blasts Bush in New Book

WASHINGTON (AP) - In Bob Woodward's latest book on President
Bush and the Iraq war, he says the president "rarely was the voice
of realism" on the war and "too often failed to lead."
In Woodward's "The War Within: A Secret White House History,
2006-2008," he tells of a president detached, tentative and slow
to react to the escalating violence in Iraq.
But according to The Washington Post, Woodward says once Bush
decided that thousands of additional troops were needed, he moved
with focus and determination even though top military advisers
resisted him.
The book is the fourth by Woodward looking at the inner debates
of the Bush administration and its handling of the wars in Iraq and
Afghanistan. It's scheduled for release Monday.
Spokesman Blair Jones says the White House had no immediate
comment.

Bob Woodward is among good company.  He and Novak are alike.  When they find out something that is likely to do harm, or should be confidential in our nation’s interest, they can hardly wait to tell everybody.  Sometimes, it is better to just keep some stories to yourself.
Look at the #### he unleashed this weekend.  When our troops are so near being withdrawn and relations with Iraq coming to a peaceful departure, Woodward throws some more coal into the fire.  If anyone has any importance to this nation or work for a large company, I would not let Woodward and some other reporters near me.
Hope that his book doesn’t sale, just to let him know that some Americans still love our country.  Bush will be out very soon, he could have waited until the next president was elected and our troops back home to release this ####.  He has no self control at all.

president bush as done as good a job as any president. he engaged the enemy before another 9/11. if he thinks its bad under president Bush it would have been worse under clinton or obama. no president has had the trials set before him as president. the liberals would have declared defeat right after 9/11. no war is won overnight and every president we have had during a war has made mistakes. it took pearl harbor to get roosevelts attention even after churchill gave him so many warnings.  so enough is enough
