NEW YORK (AP) - Joaquin Phoenix's interview with David Letterman
started off odd and ended in full-blown weirdness, instantly
joining Farrah Fawcett on the list of late-night appearances
memorable for the wrong way.
The actor briefly forgot the name of his "Two Lovers" co-star,
Gwyneth Paltrow, stuck gum under the edge of Letterman's "Late
Show" desk and appeared to swear at bandleader Paul Shaffer for
laughing at him during Wednesday night's show.
Clips of the bearded, sunglass-wearing Phoenix were racing
around the Internet on Thursday.

Not that I care a whole lot but….stories are flying that this was just a hoax…an actor doing his job. WHY???? Isn’t he retiring? If so, what does he have to prove? Why think you have anything to prove anyway. I am not a gambler, but if I were to lay money on this one, I would think this is another “like brother, like brother” issue.

He’s an actor giving a performance and an darn good one to be fooling so many. That’s the point of it all. After losing his brother River Phoenix, he has been very much against drug use and has a well proven ability to communicate.
Don’t be fooled or better yet, help prove his point.

He’s doing a “Mockumentary” on how the media falls for anything just as David Letterman did and now you guys have.

He’s a brilliant actor and I applaud him in his efforts to show just how bad the media has gotten now days in order to publish a story whether it’s factual or not. A train wreck? Not! Another Oscar nomination? Maybe….
