BEIJING (AP) - China is looking to put even tighter controls on what people can see on the Internet. The Beijing government is nowrequiring personal computers sold in China to have software that can block online pornography.
A company that developed the software says the Web-blocking tool will give parents more oversight by keeping computers from reaching sites with pornographic pictures or language. An official with the company tells The Associated Press users can even use the site to block content related to basketball
or drugs. China has the world's largest population of Internet users at more than 250 million. But it also has one of the world's tightest controls over the Internet.
