LONDON (AP) - The G-20 summit has begun in London with a workingdinner attended by President Barack Obama and the other leaders.
Obama was seated between the leaders of Germany and South Korea,
and directly across from Argentina's president. The summit meetings
continue tomorrow.
Before the dinner, Obama and his wife Michelle visited
Buckingham Palace for a private audience with Queen Elizabeth.
On Obama's first full day on the world stage as president,
there's been a flurry of diplomacy. The president met with British
Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev
(dih-MEE'-tree med-VYEH'-dyev) and Chinese President Hu Jintao (hoo
jin-tow).
Obama accepted invitations to visit Russia in July and China
later in the year.
He and Medvedev announced talks to limit the number of nuclear
warheads. They'll be the first major negotiations in years on the
subject.
