AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Texas Governor Rick Perry has stopped bythe fire-damaged official residence of the governor to thank
firefighters for their efforts.
He'll talk about the fire at a news conference today.
Interior photos of the burned mansion released by Perry's office
show scorched walls, a horribly burned ceiling and other extensive
damage inside the historic landmark.
The 152-year-old mansion was unoccupied and undergoing
renovations when the blaze broke out early Sunday.
Texas canine teams and a national arson unit continue to search
for clues.
Investigators say they spotted a person of interest during a
review of video surveillance tapes.
Perry stopped by the mansion last night after arriving back in
Austin from a European economic development trip.
