BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - A police SWAT team and a bomb squad are at
a hospital in Boulder, Colo., where a man in a wheelchair claims
there is a detonator attached to his oxygen tank.
Officials say they have moved patients away from a potential
blast zone outside the emergency room at Boulder Community
Hospital.
Boulder police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley said negotiators have
been in contact with the man, 32-year-old Terrance Baughman. He's a
former patient at the hospital, but it wasn't immediately known why
he was at the hospital Monday.
Hospital spokesman Rich Sheehan said emergency room patients
normally sent to the hospital were being diverted to other
hospitals.
