CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - Investigators in North Carolina aresearching for a possible suspect in the slaying of the University
of North Carolina's student body president.
Police have released two surveillance photos of a man that were
taken as he used the victim's ATM card in Chapel Hill. They show
the suspect driving a sport utility vehicle that may have belonged
to the victim, Eve Carson. Officials have also released a picture
of the baseball cap the suspect appears to be wearing in the
surveillance images.
Carson, was found shot Wednesday morning on a street about a
mile from campus. Her truck was found the next day. Police say it
looks like Carson was the victim of a random crime.
Meanwhile, the university has held two memorial services for
Carson, and a third is likely after spring break.
The school's board of trustees is offering a $25,000 reward for
information leading to an arrest.
