HALTOM CITY, Texas (AP) - It's not a very big emergency. In fact, it's on the shrimpy side. Authorities in the Fort Worth,Texas, area report a woman called 911 to complain she didn't get enough shrimp in the fried rice she had ordered.
Haltom City police have released a tape of the call. The woman is heard telling the dispatcher to send an officer to restaurant to investigate her
shrimp gripe. Police say the customer was gone by the time an officer arrived.
Restaurant workers say the woman wanted a refund but didn't get it. Cook June Lee says there was nothing wrong with the meal served to the unhappy customer.
