This Pastor needs to get on his knees and “pray” for the Lord to forgive Him for what he is about to do!

IMO this is not a joke. This is real. A pastor of a formed church burning the BIBLE? Are you kidding me? This is the word of God. No matter who has written it. What gives this person the right? Has he been selected, out of all the of people on the planet? Is he going to bring out the karan? How is Gods’ holy name can this be? I am now confussed.  He who blesses us with his word in any way shape or form,should not be destroyed. This is a blessing unto us. Not an obamination.

Just don’t dress up in a costume either! I don’t think it would go over real well…

People will never realize that you cannot make sommeone else believe in anything, not God,Jesus, Muhammad,angels, satan , or anything. I have never thought book burning of anykind is a good idea. Knowledge in any from is worthy of examination even if it puts into question the very culture ,values, norms, and mores, of the society in possession of the book. However, history has showed to us on many accounts that books that do not wholly embrace the thought and beliefs of the time and location are considered DANGEROUS! Books are nothing more than written thoughts, and thoughts are dangerous to those who want to control them. Especially when the book is in opposition to the power,policy and ,or politics of the time. I see the opportunity to do some good work here rather than “Grandstanding” as was mentioned by another author. Rather than allowing your motivation to be drawing attention to your church ,to get more members, to get more money to build more church, to get more members to get more money ,to get more church ect….This fire should be used as a time to have the community start a blanket drive for the elderly this winter. If it takes hell fire and brimstone preaching to motivate then fine , but make sure a beaming positive results in the damnation rhetoric spoken. Well said bamafan. Not to mention he is making a mockery of Christianity. Those who may be on the line,will look at this as a “nut job,” that does not represent the vast majority of Christians. You win more people by speaking softly and walking the walk.jmo

IMO It seems you are missing the point. This man is burning the word and works of God. What don’t you get? Its just wrong. Does one word condemn the whole book? It is a translation. Not the true text.Few if any of us has or every will see the true text. So take it for what it is this preacher is distroying the word of Christ my Lord and Savior and I am highly offended that he could call himself a man of the cloth.In what way can you wrap your mind around that this is right? He is grandstanding to do that on halloween, why wouldn’t he do it on Tuesday at 4:35 He is trying to draw attention to himself, not the word of God. He is mocking and drawing the wrong kind of attention. Not spreading or sharing the word.Not setting an example. He is making a fool out of himself and his congregation.
