OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - University of Mississippi officials say
three female students were treated for cuts and another was
arrested after an altercation on campus that likely involved a box
cutter.
Authorities said Marisha Porter, a 19-year-old freshman from
Columbus, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. The
incident at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday involved at least six students.
A news release from the university said the three injured
students were treated at Baptist Memorial Hospital and released.
Campus police believe their injuries were inflicted with a box
cutter.
Investigators said the incident arose from an ongoing personal
dispute among the women.
