WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama's fly-swatting act isn't sitting well with People for the Ethical Treatment of
Animals.

PETA says it wants Obama to try taking a more humane attitude the next time he's bedeviled by a fly in the White House.

PETA is sending Obama a Katcha Bug Humane Bug Catcher, a device that allows users to trap an insect and then release it outside.
PETA says it supports "compassion even for the most curious, smallest and least sympathetic animals."

During an interview for CNBC at the White House on Tuesday, a fly intruded on Obama's conversation with correspondent John
Harwood. When he couldn't shoo it away, Obama did away with the fly by swatting it with his hand.

But a spokesman says PETA remains pleased with Obama's Senate voting record on behalf of animal rights.

Amen to the teleprompter remark.  We wouldn’t want Obama to distort his already dumb remarks.

I just heard the fly was from Israel and looking for a new settlement.  gulp

Just hope the fly doesn’t land on the teleprompter and distort what he reads.

maybe he should have a special news conference with a speech about the inhumane treatment of house flies and such and how we need to “change” our views on this matter, hey he could appoint a special panel to study this after all he is such a talented speaker.LOL

Why couldn’t Palau or Bermuda take that fly?  All Obama had to do is offer them another $12 million of our dollars….. well China’s dollars.

I think we should capture all our “unwanted, little creatures” and take them to their houses. Maybe a nice little infestation of mosquitoes, ants,or car size roaches will bring them into reality.

I think he should have talked to the fly without pre-conditions.

OMFG they should put him in prison,to kill a helpless and innocent little fly.shame on you President Obama, seriously guys this is the most ridiculous news story ever reported. hey PETA,you should get a life.he murdered a fly HA HA HA HA HA HA HA .  bull she - it

Too bad they didn’t come to my house and watch us kill flys with our little electronic fly swatter! It’s SOOOOO much fun to zap ‘em, and man, when you hit a wasp-that thing POPS! (Warning though-fried bug smell is not good)lol

I am surprised he even noticed in the first place with all the blood-sucking flies that have been buzzing around him like Nazi Pelosi, Holder, and Napolidupoless. Maybe peta can come up with away to get rid of them and show us how to get rid of a bunch of nasty flies buzzing around a pile of… well peta, step up or shut up
