Statistics show that one in 50 babies are abused. One in four girls have been sexually abused by the time they reach 18. Where are the extended families when children need protection? What is the answer?  States now routinely arrest BOTH parties in cases of domestic abuse. Would you want to call the police if you knew that you would be arrested no matter what? In domestic abuse cases, aren’t the children being abused too? Either it is emotional abuse or someone is taking things out on the kids physically? I am tired about caring for the rights of parents. We need to prosecute child abuse. No IFs ANDs or BUTs. Love Mercy.

I agree with you sweetnsour. But she did have an option to get out. Just like with the mother and child that were killed in Semmes a few weeks ago (which there WAS a follow up story, that there was a history of domestic violence). But unlike you, if I recall correctly who was smart enough and strong enough to leave an abusive, unhealthy relationship-some people decide to sacrifice themselves and their kids for “LOVE.“ That is not love. They should both be charged.Kids don’t need parents like this.

Oh the system is all for the mothers.  And, you have to prove a mother unfit or she automatically gets the kids rather she is the better parent or not.  I am married, but not to my sons father.  My son is 10 and when there is a discipline issue I handle it, I am his mother.  They are both sick and should be sterilized at once and their children taken away.  If a man hurt my child he would get beat half to death on his way out the front door.

Regardless if she called social services before or not-why the heck not just get out of a relationship that is harming you or your child. There are alternatives to suffering domestic abuse, and if you are a parent, your first responsibility is to protect your child. Otherwise, don’t have them!

Forget social services. Let the police investigate child abuse allegations, use their professional methods of evidence collection and submit the findings for prosecution. In the meantime, social services can make a determination for safety of the child in question or any others in the home. CHILD ABUSE investigations should be a matter for law enforcement. As a social worker, I never had adequate training in gathering evidence. No one taught interrogation techniques. Luckily, I had a criminology background and knew how to do things. AMERICA.. take back your children and protect them!

It is so sad to hear of any kind of abuse, must less against a child. As a mother I can’t understand how someone could watch as their child was being hurt in anyway.  God gave us our children to love and protect them. I would give my life for my children. God loves us unconditionaly, and I feel he has given us a little bit of that love, no matter how much I may not like what my children do sometimes, but I still love them. I’m not going to watch someone hurt them. I don’t know this person, but I am going to pray for her and her children. I know there are so many people out there who would love to have these children to raise in a good home. Its time for this abuse to stop, it needs to start somewhere. This is a helpless child who is looking up to his mother for protection and what is he getting? Its sounds as though she loves her boyfriend more than she does her children. If this is true, I pray they would not put the children back in that home.

This may be like opening Pandora’s box or throwing a match on to spilled gasoline,but i will step out there on the plank and say it,People like this shouldn’t be able to have children.

people are crazyer than ever, the boy friend needs to be burned, and the law should have looked at the bio fathers plea or accuasition that she was mentally ill, it makes you wonder if the law looks for the fast and simple solution right or wrong
