BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - A missing high school basketball coachwho disappeared Tuesday evening has been found unharmed.
A Birmingham television (ABC 33/40) crew was interviewing Jess
Lanier's principal when he received a call that 42-year-old Harvey
Tharpe was found alive and well.
Tharpe, the interim head coach of the boys team, was found
unharmed on GreenSprings Highway in Birmingham. No other
information was immediately available.
Police said Tharpe's vehicle was found near Legion Field
yesterday evening.
