Tacuma Jawara works at the city's largest trauma hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital, and part of his job is to secure the personal effects of incapacitated patients.

However the 54-year old worker is at the center of a controversy for allegedly taking the wedding set from Katherine Armstrong.

Armstrong was mortally wounded on April 30th in a car accident on one of the city's Interstate highways.

Armstrong was airlifted to Grady Hospital but her belongings, including the $5 thousand dollar rings, were not turned over to her mourning husband after he was told his wife died from her injuries.

Police were able to narrow down the possible suspects in the theft after surveillance video showed Jawara carrying home a plastic bag that could have contained the rings.

Eventually Jawara led police to a pawnshop where the rings had been sold.

Authorities were able to return the rings to Armstrong's husband. Alan Armstrong says he plans to eventually give his two sons the rings as family heirlooms.
