Man Bitten By Snake In Garden Center

Florida Wal-mart A man is recovering after authorities say he was bitten by a snake inside a garden center at a Wal-Mart Supercenter in Florida.

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (AP) - A man is recovering after
authorities say he was bitten by a snake inside a garden center at
a Wal-Mart Supercenter in Pembroke Pines.
Authorities say the 42-year-old man was taken to the hospital
Sunday for treatment, where he received antivenin for the pygmy
rattler bite. His name has not been released.
Miami-Dade Fire Capt. Ernie Jillson, who leads the agency's
Venom Response Team, said the snake bit the man on the right hand.
He said the team was contacted about the bite and responded.
Pygmy rattlers are one of six venomous snakes in Florida.
Officials say bites from pygmy rattlers are painful, but are rarely
fatal.

This happened 20 years ago. I was 17 and working at McDonald’s. You can’t work there on crutches . Businesses do have a responsibility to maintain their parking lots. It is not unfair to ask for a business to pay your medical bills and time off work due to their neglience. I did not ask for an unreasonable amount. $20 copay and 2 weeks pay is not unreasonable. Yes my dad knew the hole was there or he would not have told them that they needed to fix it before someone got hurt.DUH!!! He did not come home that day and tell me to be careful getting out of the truck because of the hole because I might fall in it. The business should have gotten it fixed!! By the way you spelled sprained wrong.

Doglover, what city councilman was it. he should lose his job. the gas station insurance would have paid medical bills, but now what kind of work did you do you could not work for 2 weeks with a sprang ankle.

Why are you such a jerk? I parked at the pump and stepped out of the truck into a big hole. They were told they needed to fix it before. The city councilman who picked me up and pumped my gas told me I should sue. Since I sprained my ankle I was not able to work for 2 weeks. They did not put up a fuss abuout paying it. Maybe you should take a course in being polite.

Is this all people think about lawsuts what about how the man is doing what if it was a child that got bit instead of a grone pirson . And why dosent Wal-Mart not have the garden area fixed where snacks cant come in to it there is a lot more to think about than money.
