LOS ANGELES — Cameras caught Lindsay Lohan taking a swig out of a bottle of champagne on New Year's Eve in Italy, TMZ reported Thursday.Blair Berk, Lohan's lawyer, told TMZ, "The good news was that Lindsay stopped herself that night, called her sponsor, and got herself immediately back on track. There is no magic cure here. The most unfortunate part of this is that Lindsay has to share her 'one day at a time' with the entire world."
Meanwhile, a "friend" of the actress told the New York Daily News that she's been openly asking pals for spending money.
Lohan, 21, recently spent more than a month at a drug and alcohol treatment program in Utah, her third trip to rehab in 2007.
She served 84 minutes in jail Nov. 15 as part of a plea deal on misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine possession charges.
