MORGANTOWN, Ky. (AP) - A Kentucky sheriff drove 4,100 miles to
California to pick up a fugitive, then realized when he got back he
had the wrong guy.
Butler County Sheriff Joe Gaddie and a deputy used the long arm
of the law to find a man named Joe Oros, who was wanted on charges
of fleeing and evading police and drunken driving.
Oros was awaiting release from a California jail. Officials
notified Gaddie when a check showed an outstanding warrant in
Kentucky. The sheriff headed to California and picked him up.
But as it turns out, the man wanted in Kentucky had stolen Oros'
identity. After finding the mistake, Butler County officials paid
for Oros to fly back to California. Meanwhile, the real suspect
they're searching for is still on the lam.

And I just have to rub my two pennies together in here. I think people who are politically correct are offensive! No sense being fake. If you want to call a person a name that they don’t like then be prepared to roll with the punches because you’ll probably get them. Otherwise just be plain respectful of others and you’ll get it in return.

the story isnt about the fugutive anyway, its showing the ineptness of the sheriff that went 4100 miles to collect someone on an erronious warrant. i would be suing for lost time and inconvience, in additon to the arrest. it seems kind of trivial to go that far for the crime he is accused of.

:-D Love ya too TideFan! lol

I still Love Ya….

tongue laugh okay..i’m calling a truce Tide Fan, this verbal war has gone on long enough.

Everything we were talking about had nothing to do with the article anyway….But mums the word…

Never said I was offended, but just made a suggestion that the topic not even be brought up because it has nothing to do with what we are talking about. Call it what you want, TideFan.

Interesting….I speak nothing but fact and you get offended….Like I said…Nation of the offended

TideFan: This is not the place nor the time to discuss the use or non-use of the “N” word. Totally different topic and I would suggest that you not even open that can of worms. It’s not right for ANYONE to use it, period. That’s all I’m going to say about that.

As I have said before….This country has become the nation of the offended…This offends me..that offends me…..The only people that I ever hear anymore use the N word are black folks…And they use it ALOT….And that just makes absolutely no sense to me. And before anyone starts in with the ” its okay for me to say it but not you ” arguement….please let me know ahead of time so that I can puke somewhere else.
