CYBERSPACE (AP) - Real crocodiles bite. The kind of Crocs peoplewear don't. But escalators can -- and that's why Japan is asking
the maker of Crocs to consider changing the design of its footwear
after complaints that children wearing the colorful plastic clogs
have had their feet injured on escalators. Japan's trade ministry
says it has had dozens of complaints about the plastic clogs
getting stuck in escalators during a six-month period last year
alone. There have been similar complaints here in the United
States. Crocs is headquartered near Denver.
