HOUSTON (AP) - Three more bodies have been discovered along
parts of Texas's Gulf Coast ravaged by Hurricane Ike.
Those discoveries over the weekend up the storm's toll to 67
deaths around the country. The number of lives claimed just in
Texas is at least 32 now.
Volunteers and fishermen found the bodies while searching
through storm debris in Galveston and Orange counties.
One body belongs to a man missing since September 13th. He was
discovered in the tree-line of a levee in Orange County, about a
mile away from where his truck was discovered last Tuesday.
Authorities say the man had called 911 for help after he got caught
in Ike's storm surge.
The other two victims haven't been identified yet. Autopsies are
planned.
