ATLANTA (AP) - A 64-year-old Atlanta taxi driver has a simpleexplanation of why he returned a bag containing items worth
thousands of dollars to a Florida woman, saying, "It wasn't
mine."
Miki Cooper of Naples, Fla., was in Atlanta during the weekend
when she left the bag on the floor of Walter Fernandez' minivan.
She spent Saturday night and Sunday morning trying to find the bag,
finally realizing she left it in a taxi.
She says the bag contained items worth thousands of dollars -
three diamond rings, two one-carat diamond stud earrings and a
Rolex watch. It also held her passport.
Fernandez says once he delivered the bag to an Atlanta hotel,
Cooper hugged and kissed him, and gave him a $200 reward.
