BOSTON (AP) - Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick joined hisfamily to march in the annual gay pride parade Saturday, days after
his youngest daughter announced she was gay.
Last year, Patrick became the first governor to march in the
parade.
This year, he joined his family near the end of the route and
was greeted with boisterous cheers. He later said it had been a
"nice day."
Patrick's 18-year-old daughter, Katherine, announced she was gay
in an interview published this past week.
Spectators today cheered her announcement, with one calling it a
breath of fresh air.
Others said Patrick's public support for his daughter would
encourage other parents to support their gay children.

The pride march is very great. I think all proud gays, lesbians or bisexuals can participate in it if they want. I have many bi friends on the site BiLoves want to take part in it.
