VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) - Another human foot has washedashore off the coast of British Columbia, the fifth in the past
year.
This time it's a left one, and police say they still don't know
why it keeps happening.
Police say two people spotted the left foot floating in water
off Westham Island Monday morning. The island is at the mouth of a
river 15 miles south of Vancouver.
For now the case is being treated as a criminal investigation.
Police say nothing indicates this foot is related to the four, but
they won't deny that a connection could exist.
The last time a foot was found was May 22nd, about a mile away
from the latest one. There's no evidence the feet were severed or
removed from the victims' legs by force. One oceanographer believes
the feet may be related to an accident that may have happened
upriver.
