Florida Mom Arrested After Going On Strike

Florida Ocala Ocala FL woman leaves her 4 out-of-control boys to fend for themselves. Police arrested the woman who had moved to a friend's house. Officers have responded to her house 12 times since September. She says she didn't know what else to do.

A Florida mother was fed up with her teenage boys. When police officers responded to the Ocala, FL home of Melissa Dean, she wasn't there. It was the twelfth time since September that the police were called to restore order at the home. The 43 year old mother of four says she wanted to get some respect from her boys, so she left them to fend for themselves. Dean moved in with a friend, and was returning once a week to bring the boys food. Dean says her sons, ages 17,16,14, and 13 were completely out of control. Police arrested Dean. She is a Walgreen's manager who is also going to school part-time.
Dean is also only 5 feet tall and 140 pounds. Two of her boys are over 6 feet tall and tip the scales at over 250 pounds each. Dean says it was impossible for her to physically control the teens, and her efforts to use a punishment and reward system were unsuccessful. When a crew from an Orlando television station showed up at the house to cover the story, the got a firsthand look at the boys behavior. Two teenagers started screaming, cursing, using racial slurs.
Dean bailed herself out of jail last week on $20,000 bond.

Insanity! I wish if I’d been a horrible teenager, that my mom would have just moved out and left the house to me! That just shows hwo these kids ended up the way that they are!!!! If I had acted like that, my mother wouldn’t have hesitated to call the police and have me put in the CHINS (children in need of supervision) Program, or to have me put on probation, or placed into a youth correctional facility!!!

what happened to parental control?these children(and this is what they are)are put into a position that makes them feel that they are in control,what a complete failure on the mothers part,where is her backbone.

Where is the father or uncle or grandparents?This woman isn’t doing or has not done a great job in raising these kids,but i guess if she really came down hard on them,she would probably be arrested for abuse.Damned if you do,damned if you don’t.
